Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Construction Quality Assurance Inspector to join our Arlington, VA project team. Under general supervision, you will perform QA/QC and inspection tasks on infrastructure, horizontal and vertical construction work, and modernization projects, ensuring conformance with drawings and specifications.

You will prepare daily reports, review RFIs, maintain logs, and provide technical direction to field staff.

Qualifications

• BA/BS + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Construction Management experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA/QC and inspection on major site infrastructure, horizontal sitework, vertical construction replacement and modernization projects.
• Prepare daily reports, review RFIs and submittals, develop and review punch lists, maintain testing and project logs, verify payment applications and schedules.
• Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to meet basic engineering and construction specifications.
• Utilize advanced knowledge of site drawings, MOT plans, specifications, end-user policies and standards.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and toolbox meetings.
• Independently perform walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to ensure conformance with specifications and design.
• Perform quantity surveys for tracking and reporting.
• Provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors.

• Use your prior experience leading the QA/QC and inspection major site infrastructure, horizontal sitework, vertical construction replacement and modernization projects.
• Prepare daily reports, review RFIs and submittals, develop and review punch list, maintain testing and project logs, verify payment applications and schedules.
• Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to meet basic engineering and construction specifications.
• Utilize your advanced knowledge and understanding of site drawings, MOT plans, specifications, end-user policies and standards.
• Conductdaily site safety inspections and toolbox meetings.

• Construction Management Experience
• Valid Driver’s License and as a condition of employment must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.
• Due to the nature of work, US citizenship is required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years total experience of which 5+ years in a construction management role including experience providing QA/QC management and on-site inspection on construction projects.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Engineering, or GIS.
• Displays applications of sound professional judgment on details of work.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, document control software such as e-builder, procure, navigating electronic files for specifications and drawings, completing daily reports, and maintaining daily project records.
• Relocation is not available for this position
