Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Agent for its Purchasing Department in Westerville, Ohio.

The role involves bidding on new projects, maintaining scopes of work, and tracking blueprints and design changes as part of the construction process. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (or 1–2 years related experience) and be a team player who can contribute to a Fortune 500 company's success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Enthusiastic attitude and team player mindset is desired.

Responsibilities

• Pre-qualify subcontractors
• Setup and monitor option costs and sales prices
• Maintain and update current budgets
• Spread revised bids and obtain approval for any price increases
• Prepare direct costs analysis and variances for review
• Input original Direct Costs budget
• Execute lot starts and final proof all unit costs
