Job description

Marketech International Corporation USA is seeking a Project Scheduler to support detailed construction scheduling, project coordination, schedule tracking, and progress reporting for semiconductor construction and facility-related projects.

The Project Scheduler will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules for construction, engineering, tool installation, cleanroom build‑out, utility systems, and other high‑tech project scopes. This position is responsible for monitoring project progress, identifying schedule risks, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and helping ensure project milestones are completed on time.

The ideal candidate has experience in construction scheduling, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced semiconductor or complex construction environment. Experience with Primavera P6, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Excel, CPM scheduling, and semiconductor fab construction is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Project Scheduling and Schedule Development
  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed construction project schedules from drawings, specifications, scope documents, project inputs, and baseline schedules.
  • Build integrated schedules covering multiple project phases, including site preparation, civil work, structural work, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, cleanroom build‑out, tool installation, commissioning, and project closeout.
  • Identify critical path activities, task dependencies, long‑lead items, milestones, and schedule constraints.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, general contractors, and owner representatives to collect schedule input and validate sequencing.
  • Incorporate engineering changes, scope adjustments, claims, delays, and recovery plans into the project schedule.
Progress Tracking and Schedule Updates
  • Monitor actual construction progress against baseline schedules through site walks, contractor updates, daily/weekly reports, and project meetings.
  • Conduct weekly, biweekly, and monthly schedule updates, variance analysis, and completion forecasting.
  • Track progress by work area, contractor, trade, milestone, discipline, and project phase.
  • Prepare schedule reports showing completed work, upcoming activities, delays, constraints, and risk areas.
  • Identify schedule slippage early and communicate impacts to the project team.
Risk Management and Schedule Recovery
  • Identify potential schedule risks, including material delays, labor shortages, design changes, weather delays, access constraints, permitting issues, and regulatory approval delays.
  • Support schedule recovery planning when delays occur.
  • Develop and evaluate acceleration plans, resequencing options, mitigation strategies, and what‑if schedule scenarios.
  • Communicate schedule risks clearly to project leadership and recommend practical solutions.
  • Support project teams in reducing downtime, improving coordination, and protecting critical project milestones.
Stakeholder Coordination and Reporting
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and site teams to maintain schedule alignment.
  • Participate in project meetings, schedule review meetings, contractor coordination meetings, and progress update discussions.
  • Present schedule status, critical path updates, risk items, and recovery plans to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure all schedule updates are accurate, timely, and aligned with project requirements.
  • Support communication between field teams, engineering teams, construction teams, and project leadership.
Schedule Compliance and Continuous Improvement
  • Ensure project schedules comply with contract requirements, safety standards, quality expectations, and semiconductor site protocols.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of schedule updates, assumptions, revisions, and project changes.
  • Support lessons learned, schedule template development, standardization of scheduling practices, and adoption of improved scheduling tools.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts for future semiconductor fab and industrial construction projects.
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred in one of the following areas:
  • Construction Management
  • Civil Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Project Management or related field
  • Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree depending on project experience.
Experience
