Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with Utilities Domain for a 12+ months contract in Oakbrook Terrace, IL.

The role is hybrid and pays $55–$60/hour with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave. The candidate will develop project plans, lead teams, monitor progress, manage budgets, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project management experience.
• Utility experience (electric, gas, water) or civil/construction in utilities.
• Experience reviewing contract proposals/bids.
• Experience preparing project forecasting (monthly cash flows).
• Project management knowledge and practices.
• Experience with financial forecasting of projects (monthly cash flows).

Immediate need for a talented Construction Project Manager with Utilities Domain. This is a 12+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Oakbrook Terrace, IL (Hybrid).

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Leading project teams and coordinating activities to ensure that project goals are met.
• Monitoring project progress and identifying and addressing issues or risks.
• Communicating with stakeholders and senior management to provide updates on project status.
• Managing project budgets and ensuring that projects are delivered within budget.
• Ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with project stakeholders and external partners.
• Leading project meetings and facilitating discussions to drive project progress.
• Managing project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and reports.
• Supporting the development and implementation of project management best practices and processes.
• Project Managers Mid should have strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Project Management experience (3+ years)
• Utility experience (Electric, Gas, or Water) or Civil construction experience or Engineering experience directly working on Utility installation/relocation projects
• Experience reviewing contract proposals/bids
• Experience with preparing the project forecasting (e.g. Monthly Cash Flows)
