Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Construction Project Manager - Structural Steel to oversee commercial and industrial steel projects from award through completion in the Mesa area. The role focuses on budgets, schedules, client relationships and end-to-end project execution.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in PM/CM on structural steel, experience with detailing/drafting, and strong reading of drawings. Bachelor's in related field preferred. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage structural steel projects from kickoff to closeout.
• Lead schedules, budgets, procurement, and resource planning.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, contractors, detailers, fabricators, and field teams.
• Review drawings, plans, specifications, and project documentation.
• Manage contract requirements, change orders, RFIs, costs and profitability.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare reports for leadership and stakeholders.
• Visit job sites as needed to support execution.
• Collaborate with internal teams to stay on schedule and budget.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of Project Manager or Construction Manager experience with structural steel projects
• Experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Engineer, or Assistant Project Manager with detailing/drafting experience.
• Experience managing multiple commercial or industrial construction projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection processes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and project plans.
• Strong organizational, communication, and client-facing skills.

Preferred Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or Business.
• Experience mentoring Project Managers, Coordinators, or Administrators.
• Familiarity with Tekla and 3D modeling practices.
• Experience using Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite.
