Job summary

Pepper Construction Group is seeking a Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects across southern Wisconsin, including Milwaukee and Madison. You will oversee safety, budgets, schedules, and subcontractor coordination to deliver high-quality, on-budget results.

Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field and proven experience leading large, collaborative teams on healthcare, education, or mixed-use projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience managing commercial construction projects with collaborative teams.
• Ability to lead large, complex projects—healthcare, education, institutional, or mixed-use markets.
• Strong business acumen and working knowledge of preconstruction, estimating, and bidding.
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of construction to deliver safe, on-budget, on-schedule projects.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and forecasts.
• Lead subcontractor procurement and negotiation.
• Monitor performance, ensure safety standards and contract compliance.
• Direct closeout, commissioning, and turnover to clients.
• Cultivate relationships with clients and partners.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities and involvement in presentations.
