Job summary

Bartel Executive Search is assisting a leading commercial real estate developer in Milwaukee, WI to recruit a Project Manager. This on-site role involves overseeing projects from early development through close-out with senior leadership, including coordinating bids, buyouts, and cost estimation.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of industrial/commercial construction experience and a 4-year engineering or construction management degree, plus strong multi-tasking and communication skills.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience in industrial/commercial building construction.
• 4 year college degree in engineering, or construction management (or similar)
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Be on site at the project as necessary
• Participate in obtaining subcontractor bids and assist in site walkthroughs
• Take part in subcontractor buy-out, selection, qualification, and contract creation
• Perform commercial/industrial construction cost estimation
• Prepare, review, advance and monitor logs for tracking RFIs, submittals, contract documents, change orders and subcontractor's applications for payment
• Follow-up and maintain and of all project related communications
• Work with senior leadership and other stake holders to prepare, monitor and update the project
• Review drawings in accordance with plans and specifications, scope, procedure, installation, site consideration and coordination between trades
• Assist in the close-out process of the project, including the punch list, and submitting the close out package to the owner
