Job summary

Seattle Children’s seeks a senior PMO leader to align strategic projects with institutional goals and drive cross‑functional execution. You will develop and refine PM tools and processes, mentor teams, and promote PM maturity by coaching with client departments across the organization.

The role emphasizes large-scale project leadership, vendor collaboration, and ongoing process improvement in a mission-driven health care setting. You will influence project delivery and organizational impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree; minimum 7 years related experience including 5 years managing projects.
• PM professional certification (PMP) or ability to obtain within 4 months of hire.
• Experience leading a large project team on a large scale project.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with vendors, consultants and other purchased services.

Job description

Act as a liaison to ensure proper alignment of projects to institutional goals. Manage the process of developing, refining, and executing project plans, resolving issues, communicating, and driving the final results of each project. Serve as the primary point of contact for large organizational-wide and/or highly complex projects requiring leadership and experience of a seasoned project management professional. Promote a culture of improvement across the institution. Coach project managers in the management of project related activities.

This position is a senior/lead role in the Project Management Office (PMO) with a focus on leading the development and improvement of PM tools and processes at Children's as well as the promotion of PM maturity at Children's through coaching and consulting with client departments.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree.Minimum of 7 years related experience to include at least 5 years managing projects.Experience leading a large project team on a large scale project (budget, impact, or time); full cycle from initiation to project close.Demonstrated successful experience working with vendors, consultants and other purchased services.Previous mentorship experience.

Required Credentials

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, or ability to obtain within 4 months of hire.

Preferred

Master’s degree health administration, business, or related field or Master’s certificate in project management.Health care background.Experience working in a Project Management Consulting firm.Experience applying professional project management approaches (e.g.PMBOK, Agile, and/or SDLC).Demonstrated successful experience leading complex change management in an organizational setting.Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or continuous performance improvement experience.Experience developing and facilitating /presenting project management content.Demonstrated success working with vendors, consultants and other purchased services.

Compensation Range

$118,174.00 - $177,262.00 per year

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
