As a Project Manager at Gordian, you will play a critical role in overseeing the administrative and operational aspects of construction and facility‑related projects. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with customer specifications and company standards. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with a solid understanding of construction processes and project management best practices.

This role supports Gordian’s partnership with the New York City School Construction Authority (SCA) and involves managing renovation and modernization projects across school buildings in all five boroughs of NYC. This is a full‑time, on‑site position.

  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, verify compliance, and ensure construction quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and delays through proactive site assessments and reporting.
  • Schedule and perform compliance inspections as required by SCA/DOE and NYC regulatory agencies.
  • Knowledge of General Construction, Mechanical and Electrical Systems, building products, construction details/design and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Knowledge of Project estimating scheduling and cost control.

  • Provide responsive support to resolve issues and maintain project continuity.
  • Review and process change orders; manage scope changes due to unforeseen conditions with proper documentation and approvals.
  • Understand compliance with NYC regulatory agencies (DOB, BEC, FDNY, DOT, DEP) for permitting, inspections, and closeout.
