Salary Range: $110,000 - $125,000 / year

Job Type: Full-Time-Onsite

We are seeking a motivated Architect or Engineer to join our team as a Construction Manager on a major VA Medical Center Construction Program, in Butler, PA. The Sr Architect / Engineer will report to a Program Manager and collaborate with VA client staff to provide data and generate reports on the projects.

Responsibilities

The Construction Manager will provide leadership, mentorship, and project/construction management for a single project or a major program with multiple projects. The role involves directing business, technical, and personnel management activities across multidisciplinary teams. The Construction Manager will learn, teach, and implement industry, client, and internal best practices related to project delivery, budget, schedule, quality, and operations in a healthcare environment. They will lead a team of professionals and liaise with clients, design teams, contractors, and facility engineers. The project may require off-hours work to minimize impact on medical center operations. Services will support traditional Design-Bid-Build and Design/Build contracts.

Major Tasks:

  • Manage projects or programs, overseeing technical quality, cost, and schedule.
  • Maintain progress and inspection reports.
  • Lead inspection and quality assurance teams.
  • Manage the commissioning process for building systems.
  • Maintain and coordinate project schedules with general contractors.
  • Keep thorough records to assist in conflict resolution.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor of Architecture or Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years in managing design and construction phases.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to the project.
  • Understanding of Construction Contract Documents, specifications, and drawings.
  • Knowledge of engineering services, building codes, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with professionals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Healthcare and Federal projects.
  • CCM or PMP certifications.
