Job summary

Ascot Pierce is seeking an experienced Project Manager for water and wastewater infrastructure projects across New Jersey. The role focuses on delivering public-sector heavy civil initiatives from pre-construction through delivery, coordinating design consultants, contractors, and clients.

The successful candidate will oversee scheduling, cost control, safety, quality, and field operations while managing project teams across multiple active assignments and maintaining strong client communication

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction/project management experience.
• Experience overseeing water/wastewater, heavy civil, or public-sector projects.
• Strong scheduling, safety, quality control, and construction operations.
• Experience coordinating with design consultants, contractors, and client stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of change order management and cost review processes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate construction activities across multiple projects in both design and construction phases.
• Manage project teams and provide overall project leadership.
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements.
• Oversee contractor performance, construction progress, safety, quality, and compliance.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, requisitions, change orders, and project documentation.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain direct communication with clients and design teams.
• Review contractor payment applications and change order requests.
• Track and assess schedule impacts, delays, and budget implications.
• Develop and monitor critical path schedules.
• Ensure adherence to project-specific construction management plans.

Salary for this position is up to $125K DOE.

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to support water and wastewater infrastructure projects throughout New Jersey.

This opportunity is suited to professionals with strong construction management experience overseeing public-sector water/wastewater and heavy civil projects from pre-construction through delivery.

The successful candidate will play a key role managing project execution, contractor coordination, client communication, scheduling, cost control, and field operations across multiple active projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate construction activities across multiple projects in both design and construction phases
