Job Title:Construction Project Manager

About Our Client:Our client is at the forefront of the commercial construction industry, specializing in delivering projects that surpass expectations in terms of budget, schedule, safety, and quality. They are renowned for their expertise in structural concrete projects and are currently seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join their dynamic team.

Position Overview:The Project Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by overseeing all aspects from conception to completion. This position requires a proactive approach, with responsibilities ranging from technical issue resolution to maintaining a strong presence on job sites or in the office as necessary. As the Responsible Project Manager (RPM), you will be instrumental in driving project success and upholding the company's reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review project costs weekly, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracting, to ensure they align with budgetary constraints.
  • Lead project-related meetings internally and externally, maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with the General Superintendent and Project Superintendent to ensure project schedules are met and upheld.
  • Manage the Potential Change Order (PCO) process for addressing any impacts to cost, schedule, or quality.
  • Ensure thorough and timely documentation and processing of RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation.
  • Oversee project procurement, issuing all necessary purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients/owners, architects, and subcontractors to encourage repeat business.
  • Address conflicts and manage client expectations effectively to ensure satisfaction.
  • Handle project bidding, buyout, startup, and close-out processes meticulously.
  • Promote project safety by working collaboratively with the project superintendent to maintain standards and protocols.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing commercial construction projects, with a preference for those involving structural concrete.
  • 10+ years of Project Management Experience
  • Strong leadership qualities with a focus on growth and development.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects within set time frames and budgets.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building capabilities.
