Opportunity Overview:

POP MART is seeking a skilled and driven Construction Project Manager to lead the execution of our retail expansion across the United States. As a global pioneer in designer toy culture, we’re building immersive retail spaces that reflect our brand’s creativity, innovation, and joyful spirit. This role is central to ensuring our stores are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and design.

You’ll oversee multiple retail construction projects from concept to completion, collaborating with internal teams, architects, contractors, and vendors. Your expertise in budgeting, scheduling, and site management will be key to bringing POP MART’s vision to life in new markets. With a hands‑on approach and a passion for precision, you’ll help shape the physical footprint of a brand that’s capturing hearts worldwide.

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing company at the intersection of art, retail, and global culture—where your work will directly impact the customer experience and brand presence across the U.S.

The working location for this opportunity is onsite out of our Los Angeles, CA office.

What You Will Achieve:

  • Develop, monitor, and manage the approved capital budget for each project, ensuring best practices by considering quality, health, and safety implications.
  • Collaborate closely with the wider Project Team, including the project and design teams, to deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations as appropriate, continually reviewing and developing improvements.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, create contingency plans as necessary, and partner with project team members and contractors, assuming accountability for their assigned work.
  • Manage the submittal of Requests for Information (RFIs) at the bid stage and during construction to ensure timely responses with the necessary information to advance the project. Review and process change proposals, proposal requests, supplemental instructions, and other contract documents.
  • Review General Contractor bids to determine the awarded contractor and overall schedule, and work with the general contractor to ensure the project is delivered smoothly, on time, and within budget.
  • Ensure the Architect of Record (AOR) has all required design elements, including internal markups, vendor markups, and shop drawings, incorporated into the set prior to bidding. Coordinate with the tenant’s design, operational, and technical providers to ensure accuracy in the development of the tenant’s construction documents and build‑out.
  • Lead weekly construction progress meetings, including preparing meeting minutes, schedule updates, and change order logs. Document all material submittals, shop drawings, and finish selections for approval.
  • Perform site visits throughout the projects and attend punch list and handover meetings. Perform additional duties and projects as required.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in engineering, architecture, or construction project management from a four‑year college or university, or equivalent experience required.
  • At least 4+ years’ experience in retail construction.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects across various phases while keeping them on budget, delivering them on time, and maintaining a high standard.
  • Excellent knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, sometimes uncertain environment.
  • Enthusiasm for the company’s mission and a strong desire to contribute to its growth and success.
  • Must be able to travel approximately 50% of the time by land and air within the United States.
