Job summary

Corenic Construction Group is seeking a Project Manager for our Operations department to provide overall direction of construction projects and lead the on-site project management team. You will establish project objectives, monitor progress, and ensure strong client and stakeholder relationships.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, has 5+ years of PM experience, and 5+ years of supervising other project managers or staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager.
• 5+ years of experience managing other project managers/staff.
• Experience with small base building and commercial base building.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to maintain project-related paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day management of construction projects as part of the leadership team.
• Lead contract administration, change orders, procurement, scheduling, and financial reporting.
• Define project objectives, policies and procedures; monitor progress and outcomes.
• Oversee buyout of subcontractors and vendors.
• Maintain liaison with clients, architects and engineers; represent the company in meetings.
• Prepare monthly job status reports outlining priorities and issues.
• Ensure client satisfaction and adherence to industry practices.
• Assist with bids and proposal submissions.

Our Opportunity:

Corenic is seeking Project Manager for their Operations department. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for overall direction of construction projects of the company and is a key member of the Operations/Project Management Department. In this role, the candidate is responsible for establishing project objectives and policies, maintaining relationships with prime client contracts, and monitoring construction and financial activities through on-site PM's or Construction Managers.The following are essential duties and key responsibilities:

• As Project Manager, you will be a part of a leadership team dedicated to directing the day-to-day management of the project.
• Lead all activities related to contract administration, change orders, procurement, schedule, and financial reporting.
• Manageschedule, determine project objectives, policies and procedures.
• Complete buyout of subcontractors and vendors.
• Initiate and maintain liaison with client, architect and/or engineer.
• Provide technical assistance with interpretation of drawings, methods and equipment needed. Represent company in project meetings.
• Prepare and submit monthly job status reports that outline project priorities and issues.
• Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices.
• Responsible for client satisfaction.
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
• Assist with preparing bids and proposal submissions to clients.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar field
• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager
• 5+ years of experience managing other project managers/staff
• Prior experience with small base building (including banks, retail)and commercial base building
• Critical thinking skills and the ability to problem solve quickly
• Excellent skills establishing rapport with clients, vendors, team members and leadership
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated experience with consistently maintaining project related paperwork
