Job summary

Malcolm Drilling is seeking a Project Manager in Kent, WA, responsible for civil project management across deep foundations, retention systems, and dewatering scopes. The role includes site visits, reviewing drawings and geotechnical reports, preparing bids and budgets, and coordinating with subcontractors and vendors.

The PM will manage project schedules, ensure safety compliance, and oversee submittals, contracts, and billings while supporting training and professional development.

As part of our deep foundations, retention systems, and ground improvement services, we also provide a range of special applications and dewatering techniques. By implementing Design/Build, we execute projects quickly and effectively, allowing for timely collaboration with owners and contractors. Through our regional offices, we offer these services nationwide.


Job Title: Project Manager


Location: Kent, WA


Schedule: Full-time


Key Responsibilities:


  • Project estimating and project management of civil projects with all types of deep foundations, retention systems, ground improvement, and dewatering scope.

  • Perform site visits to evaluate site conditions.

Key Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent industry experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil or geotechnical engineering.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Basic understanding of construction methods and practices.

  • Ability to travel to various job sites within the assigned district.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  • Two (2) years of project management experience preferred.

  • Experience working with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and/or the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is preferred.

  • Valid driver's license required.
