Job summary

Bison Recruiting LLC is seeking a Project Manager to run concrete construction projects in the Kansas City area. You will own the schedule, the budget, and field coordination, working directly with clients, engineers, and superintendents to keep projects on track and profitable.

This hands-on role requires knowledge of concrete work and the ability to manage multiple jobs without dropping details, in a KC metro location with no travel and no remote work. OSHA safety practice is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven PM experience in concrete construction managing projects from conception to completion.
• Comprehensive knowledge of concrete construction techniques, materials, equipment and best practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to motivate project teams.
• Proficiency with Procore, Primavera, MS Project and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• OSHA certification and commitment to safety best practices in construction.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage concrete construction projects from start to finish, including scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and subcontractor coordination.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, and superintendents to review plans, specifications, and requirements, ensuring alignment with goals and client expectations.
• Lead project meetings, including pre-construction, progress, and close-out meetings, to communicate objectives and milestones to stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, timelines, and budgets, monitoring progress toward milestones and financial goals.
• Manage and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions to maintain momentum.
• Conduct regular site inspections and QA checks to monitor workmanship, safety compliance, and adherence to standards.
• Prepare and submit project reports, including progress updates, budget summaries, and completion documentation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager or similar role in concrete construction, with a strong background in managing projects from conception to completion.
• Comprehensive knowledge of concrete construction techniques, materials, equipment, and industry best practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and motivate project teams to achieve project goals and exceed client expectations.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines effectively.
• Ability to analyze project data, financial reports, and performance metrics to make informed decisions and drive project success.
