We are growing our store network and building new locations across multiple states. In this role you will lead a portfolio of multiple new store openings a year, from site plan review through closeout. You will oversee developer partners and general contractors, and make sure every store opens on time, on budget and to brand standards.
What you'll do
You will own these for every store in your portfolio, in the order a project runs:
- Site plan reviews: review each site plan for brand standards, access, site layout and code before design moves forward
- Construction drawing reviews: review CDs against brand standards and send comments back to the architect and developer
- Budget reviews: run the pre-bid, post-bid and final budget reviews for each store
- Budget management: hold each store to its approved budget, approve change orders within limits and report cost against target
- Schedule management: own the schedule from permit to opening, including long‑lead equipment and sign orders, and flag slips early to leadership
- Construction calls: lead the recurring calls with developers and GCs on each active job
- Construction coordination: coordinate developers, GCs and our real estate, operations and procurement teams so each job keeps moving
- Punch walks: walk each store at substantial completion and turnover, and drive the punch list to close
- Closeouts: collect the closeout package, close out the contract and track warranty items through the warranty period
You will also:
- Run quality control across every developer and GC: required checklists, third‑party testing and inspections, and scorecards
- Share lessons learned to improve design standards and the construction process
- Work with Operations on store turnover and opening readiness
- Work with project coordination staff on documentation and filing
