Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. seeks a Construction Project Manager to lead capital projects from concept to completion in Bethlehem, PA. You will serve as the owner's representative, coordinating with clients, designers, and field teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and high quality.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 9+ years of PM experience, with deep knowledge of building systems, project controls, and contracts. Travel as needed is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Science, Planning, Engineering Management, or related field; or equivalent experience/licensure.
  • Minimum of 9 years of industry experience, including 6 years in project management.
  • Ability to interpret contract requirements and manage client relationships.
  • Experience with project accounting: budgeting, forecasting, cash management.
  • Experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and close-out documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage capital projects from concept to completion with on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Act as owner's representative and coordinate with clients across sites.
  • Communicate updates to clients, management, and teams; participate in monthly reviews.
  • Oversee budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and subcontractor billings.
  • Maintain contracts, project plans, purchase orders, and close-out packages.
  • Implement project controls, QA/QC, and health & safety plans.
  • Support business development with proposals and growth opportunities.

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our PMCM Team in Bethlehem, PA. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee capital projects from concept to completion, serve as a trusted advisor to clients, and help drive our mission to create cleaner, safer, and more resilient communities.

The ideal candidate combines practical construction experience as a contractor, construction manager, superintendent, construction administrator, or facility engineer with a strong understanding of building systems, bringing the expertise needed to successfully oversee complex capital projects from planning through delivery.

What You'll Do:

Manage and oversee all aspects of capital projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery for a diverse portfolio including schools, municipal buildings, and commercial facilities

  • Serve as the owner's representative, collaborating closely with clients to ensure their needs are met across all project sites
  • Communicate project updates clearly to clients, management, and teams; prepare for and participate in monthly project review meetings
  • Manage all project financials-including budgeting, forecasting, revenue, cash flow, and subcontractor billings-to ensure strong financial performance
  • Oversee the preparation, coordination, and maintenance of contracts, project plans, purchase orders, extra work authorizations, closeout packages, and other critical project documentation to support successful project delivery
  • Implement project controls, quality management processes, and health & safety plans to support compliance and successful project delivery
  • Support business development by preparing proposals and collaborating with Market Leaders on growth opportunities
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Science, Planning, Engineering Management, or a related field required; or equivalent combination of experience and licensure
  • Minimum of 9 years of industry experience required, including 6 years of project management experience
  • Strong client relationship management and ability to interpret contract requirements
  • Proven ability to manage project accounting processes (budgeting, forecasts, cash management)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and lead initiatives to completion
  • Expert knowledge of project engineering and/or construction principles and schedules required
  • Experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and close out documentation required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required; knowledge of MS Project, Primavera P6, and/or Deltek Vision preferred
  • Consulting industry experience highly preferred
  • Ability to travel as needed

Salary Range:

$120,000 - $140,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
