Role Description

The Construction Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Appleton, WI. This role oversees all phases of heavy industrial construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within scope. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with field supervisors, union craft labor, and subcontractors, managing contracts and change orders, monitoring project progress, and resolving issues that could impact schedule or cost. The Construction Project Manager prepares and reviews project documentation, progress reports, and forecasts, while maintaining strong communication with clients and internal stakeholders. This role also promotes safety standards, supports quality control, and drives continuous improvement in project delivery and site operations.

Qualifications
  • Strong project management skills in construction, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Experience leading field operations and coordinating with union craft labor, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of heavy industrial construction practices, fabrication processes, and on-site safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents, and manage change orders and contracts.
  • Proficiency with project management and construction software (e.g., scheduling tools, cost tracking, and reporting systems).
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Proven capacity to work on-site in a fast-paced industrial environment, making timely decisions under changing conditions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Prior experience managing industrial or heavy civil construction projects; experience with union labor environments is beneficial.
  • Commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in construction practices.
