Job summary

The Walsh Group, Walsh Construction & Archer Western, is seeking Interns for our Northwest Indiana Region in La Porte, IN. The internship program will prepare you for leadership positions both on and off the jobsite, and it can involve travel across the United States to gain hands-on experience in project engineering and field management.

Interns will be matched with positions related to their academic and career goals, with opportunities to work on job sites or in the office supporting

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Relocation may be required for specific roles.
• 12‑week work schedule may be required for some positions.

Responsibilities

• Assisting project manager or field supervision staff with project coordination
• Estimating cost for change orders
• Soliciting bidders and coordinate subcontractor activity
• Scheduling of various contracts and materials
• Document control
• Coordination of subcontractors
• Safety management
• Participation in team meetings
• Writing RFIs, submittals, and assisting in change orders

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred
