Job summary

The Korte Company is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to join our team in Las Vegas, NV to work within our Project Management Group. This position will be responsible for collaboration with our Project Managers to help facilitate all aspects of our project.

Role focuses on creating and maintaining schedules, coordinating with Owners, Designers, and Subcontractors, and managing submittals, RFIs, and changes while supporting project close-out and warranty documentation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional in actions and appearance.
• Effective interactions with owners, subcontractors, employees and assistants.
• Strong computer skills.
• Experience with Primavera P6 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with creation of the master project schedule including design, submittals, fabrication and construction activities.
• Facilitate information flow among Owners, Designers, Preconstruction, QA, Subcontractors, Suppliers and Field divisions.
• Assist Project Manager with and document project coordination meetings.
• Read and interpret contracts, estimates, and plans to determine procedures.
• Help set schedules and expedite submittal reviews and approvals.
• Create, manage, and log RFIs and submittals.
• Track changes through the RFC system.
• Document close-out procedures and checklists.
• Prepare warranty letters and operation manuals for owners.
• Travel to jobsites approximately once per month.
