Job summary

Southern Industrial Constructors Inc. in Greensboro, NC is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support our industrial projects across the region. This role requires 2-3 years of relevant experience and a foundation in electrical engineering or construction management.

You will coordinate with project foremen, managers, and subcontractors, prepare reports, manage documentation, and assist with takeoffs and estimates while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or 2 years of related experience via internships/co-ops.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, stay organized and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility with a wide range of computer software.
• Engineer-in-training certification, Journeyman license, and field experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong interpersonal communication, attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively promotes core values and culture through daily actions and decisions.
• Provide exceptional, first class customer service.
• Assist with the execution and management of project contracts terms.
• Prepare and present computer-generated spreadsheets and reports.
• Maintain regular communication with project team and stakeholders.
• Generate and facilitate project documentation (RFI, submittals, drawings, specifications, POs).
• Perform material take offs from drawings to support estimates.
• Demonstrate attention to detail, efficiency and integrity in all tasks.
• May commute to various jobsite locations as needed.
• Attend and conduct meetings as required.
• Comply with company policies, procedures and safety programs.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
