Job summary

Dean Snyder Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to analyze blueprints and specifications, prepare time, cost, and labor estimates, and support contracts, design, and project management. Initial field work will build estimating experience, then transition to the office with a path toward project management.

The role emphasizes collaboration with clients, vendors, and the project team, with duties spanning cost data development, scheduling, and technical problem solving across construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• 2 years of field experience as a PE or equivalent.
• Exposure to hard-bid contracts.
• Experience analyzing blueprints, specifications, and estimate data.

Responsibilities

• Computes cost factors and prepares estimates for bids or negotiated work.
• Assists in analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other docs to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Works in field under supervision or in office under Project Manager guidance.
• Reviews shop drawings and layout work; develops project schedules and cost data.
• Provides project information to superintendent and discusses scope with PM and superintendent.
