Job summary

Corvias is seeking a Construction Project Engineer – Energy to support solar and geothermal construction at Fort Bragg. You will collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure safety, on-time delivery, and budget adherence.

Role involves coordinating between field, project management, and design teams, maintaining documentation, tracking costs, and ensuring compliance with Corvias standards and codes. Industry experience with energy projects is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 3+ years of construction experience preferred; commercial or multi-family experience a plus.
• Strong understanding of construction documents, building systems, and coordination across trades.
• OSHA standards knowledge; LEED or green building knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers and Superintendents in day-to-day project execution and coordination.
• Assist with project planning activities including scheduling, phasing, scopes of work, estimating support, and budget tracking.
• Participate in plan reviews, constructability reviews, and value engineering efforts.
• Ensure adherence to pre-construction processes, environmental protection measures, and SOPs.
• Track costs and support change management and documentation.
• Maintain accurate project documentation (RFIs, submittals, drawings, schedules).
• Assist with subcontractor coordination, bid package development, and contract administration.
• Review cost-to-date and schedules with the local team weekly; adjust operations as needed.

How You'll Contribute to the Team:

The Construction Project Engineer – Energy supports the planning, coordination, and execution of renewable energy construction projects, including solar and geothermal systems, by partnering closely with Project Managers and Superintendents. This role plays a key part in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with Corvias standards, contract requirements, and applicable codes.

Project Engineers serve as a critical link between the field, project management, and design teams—supporting documentation, cost tracking, coordination, and communication throughout the construction lifecycle.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Support Project Managers and Superintendents in day-to-day project execution and coordination.
• Assist with project planning activities including scheduling, phasing, scopes of work, estimating support, and budget tracking.
• Participate in plan reviews, constructability reviews, and value engineering efforts.
• Ensure strict adherence to the pre-construction process, environmental protection measures, and the Company's Standard Operating Procedures.
• Track project costs, assemble financial data, and support change management and documentation.
• Maintain accurate project documentation including RFIs, submittals, drawings, schedules, logs, and as-built records.
• Assist with subcontractor coordination, bid package development, buyout support, and contract administration.
• Review cost-to-date and delivery schedules with the local construction team on a weekly basis. Adjust operations as needed to ensure budgetary and schedule compliance.
• Promote and enforce Corvias’ Zero Tolerance Safety Standard; maintain required safety documentation.
• Coordinate inspections and testing; ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, codes, and quality standards.
• Perform Quality Assurance checks on contractor work for verification of scope and quality.
• Communicate schedule, cost, safety, and quality issues to project leadership in a timely manner.
• Support project closeout, turnover documentation, and warranty-related activities.
• Other duties as assigned

Role Specific Requirements Include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of construction experience preferred but will consider recent graduate; commercial or multi-family experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction documents, building systems, and coordination across trades.
• Experience with energy efficiency, ESPC, or military installation projects a plus.
• Working knowledge of OSHA Standards, Quality Control, Building codes, Green Building, and LEED a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Timberline/Sage, or similar tools preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and accountable.
• Valid driver’s license required; ability to support multiple project sites as business needs require.
