Job summary

Innovative Project Solutions is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to oversee project development and manage site activities. You will interpret construction drawings, communicate with team members and subcontractors, and assist in managing schedules and change orders.

The ideal candidate should have 1-5 years of construction experience, with a preference for those holding a degree in Construction Management or similar. Strong communication and leadership skills are critical to success in this role.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of proven experience in construction or design/build.
• Project Management certification preferred but not required.

The Construction Project Engineer is responsible for supporting all aspects of a project including estimating, bidding, subcontracts, change orders, RFIs, budget development, and invoicing. The PE will learn to drive efficient and timely completion schedules with utmost professionalism.

Responsibilities And Expectations

• Interpret detailed construction drawings and specifications
• Communicate clearly and effectively with Subcontractors, Architects, Inspectors, and other team members
• Maintain a strong positive team environment between all project members
• Manage, orchestrate, monitor, and document all site activities on a daily basis
• Create and manage Change Order process and log
• Assist in creating schedules
• Assist in creating and managing Submittal and Procurement logs
• Assist in the review and processing of shop drawings
• Assist in creating and maintaining short-term project look‑ahead schedules
• Scheduling all on-site activities and site inspections
• Manage project changes on site and be responsible for distributing current project information to all trades
• Maintain project information on site in an organized manner
• Assist in layout and coordination of tradesmen on site
• Assist in the coordination of design, engineering, and for‑site utilities
• Assist in creating and managing requests for information
• Assist in managing punch‑lists and project close‑out documentation

Education And Experience

• 1‑5 years of proven experience at a design/build or construction related field
• Project Management Certification (PMP, MPM, etc.) preferred but not required
• Construction Management, Architectural or Engineering degree preferred but not required
