Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced CSA Project Engineer to support a large-scale data center construction project in Boydton, Virginia. This role focuses on Civil, Structural, and Architectural construction quality, field inspections, commissioning, and project turnover.

You will work closely with project managers, engineers, superintendents, subcontractors, and commissioning teams. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in construction, with data center or mission-critical project experience,

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction experience.
• Experience with Civil, Structural, and Architectural construction.
• Experience on data center or mission-critical projects.
• Strong QA/QC experience in construction.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage project-specific quality control plans and inspection processes.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up quality inspections.
• Inspect CSA construction activities against drawings, specifications, and approved materials.
• Identify construction deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions.
• Manage NCRs, discrepancy notices, inspection logs, and quality documentation.
• Verify materials and equipment meet project requirements before installation.
• Develop installation checklists and maintain detailed inspection records.
• Coordinate with third-party testing and inspection agencies.
• Support commissioning, startup, and project turnover activities.
• Review and support commissioning documentation, including MOPs and testing procedures.
• Coordinate quality activities with project schedules and construction milestones.
• Participate in contractor, owner, safety, and project coordination meetings.
• Support quality audits and ensure compliance with contract documents.
• Promote safe construction practices, including LOTO and applicable safety procedures.

Job Type: 2-year contract with potential extensions and permanent conversion

Overview: We are seeking an experienced CSA Project Engineer to support a large-scale data center construction project in Boydton, Virginia. This role focuses on Civil, Structural, and Architectural construction quality, field inspections, commissioning, and project turnover. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, superintendents, subcontractors, and commissioning teams. The ideal candidate has significant experience supporting data center, mission-critical, or complex commercial construction projects.

Requirements

• 7+ years of construction experience.
• Strong background in Civil, Structural, and Architectural construction.
• Experience supporting data center or mission-critical construction projects.
• Significant QA/QC experience within construction environments.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Experience conducting field inspections and resolving construction deficiencies.
• Knowledge of NCRs, corrective actions, inspections, punch lists, and turnover processes.
• Experience coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and field teams.
• Working knowledge of construction scheduling and project controls.
• Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.

Compensation

$55/hr to $75/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
