As a Project Coordinator, an individual will become familiar with all aspects of completing a successful project in the field (Project set-up/pre-construction to material releasing/delivery to field installations to Project close-out).This opportunity will afford the right individual with key entry-level experience in a highly skilled construction field, with growth potential that hopefully blossoms into a Project Management role.

Knowledge to be Gained

• Become tangible with contracts and contract documents
• Specifications – prepare submittal logs and track down required documents
• Design Drawings – review/understand contract scope of work
• Material Management:
• Release vendors and track production progress
• Schedule deliveries to coincide with schedule needs
• Shop Drawings:
• Become tangible with details and eliminating water intrusion paths
• Help perform quality inspections of work installed for conformance with approved details
• Perform quantity takeoffs for material procurement
• Quality Control:
• Monitor work for compliance with specifications, manufacturer requirements and installation drawings
• Schedules:
• Assist in building a logic sequenced construction plan
• Updating to coincide with the progression of the projectProduction Tracking:
• Assist with overall job cost tracking

Assistant Project Coordinator (Part-Time Employee (less than 30 hrs):

Tuition reimbursement (up to $2,500 / semester)
