Job summary

Moorefield Construction, Inc. in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a Project Accountant to join our on-site team and manage project finances for construction projects.

You will prepare owner billings, process subcontractor billings and payments, monitor contract compliance, assist with change order documentation, and reconcile project accounts to ensure accuracy and alignment with client requirements. Strong Excel and Sage 300 skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in construction project accounting, including AIA owner billings, subcontractor invoice processing, and contract compliance.
• Experience with construction accounting software and ERP systems; Sage 300 experience highly desired.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard office applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial and numerical work.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
