Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a Procurement Agent to procure materials and subcontracts from qualified vendors and ensure favorable prices and terms. The role reports to the Procurement Manager or Preconstruction Manager and requires strong communication and contract interpretation skills.

You will lead prequalification reviews, manage procurement schedules, and oversee bid processes, including scope, pricing, and subcontract terms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus related experience.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specs, scopes and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Procure materials and subcontracts from qualified vendors and subcontractors.
• Lead review and updating of subcontractor/vendor prequalification including financials and references.
• Establish and oversee Procurement Schedule and attend project meetings.
• Develop bidding procedures, prequalifications, and bid list approvals.
• Assist in forming M/W/DBE or other hiring requirements and insure compliance.
• Oversee bid receipt, analysis, and scope/alignment with requirements and schedules.
• Negotiate scope, price, and terms with vendors and subcontractors; issue awards.
