Job summary

MP Engineers + Architects seeks an experienced Acoustical Engineer to lead construction noise control and monitoring on a major project. You will develop plans, perform noise analyses, and design mitigation measures to meet project requirements.

The role requires 5+ years in noise control engineering, strong knowledge of monitoring plans, and experience with urban construction sites. Collaboration with project teams and comprehensive reporting are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Physics or Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of experience in noise control engineering and construction noise analysis.
  • Strong experience with construction noise controls and monitoring plans, particularly on urban construction projects.
  • Experience calculating construction noise levels and implementing noise abatement measures.
  • Alternatively, current enrollment as a Board Certified Member of the Institute of Noise Control Engineering (INCE)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement construction noise control and monitoring plans.
  • Conduct and oversee construction noise analysis and level calculations.
  • Design and oversee noise monitoring and abatement measures.
  • Monitor construction noise levels and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Oversee noise measurement activities and monitoring equipment.
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports related to noise control.
  • Work closely with project and construction teams to address noise-related requirements
