Job summary

Turner Construction Co. Toledo is offering a temporary internship to support day-to-day activities on an active construction project.

You will gain foundational knowledge in construction management, business and project financial management, safety, quality control, and subcontractor coordination. The role involves assisting the project team, participating in site activities, and applying classroom knowledge to real-world construction tasks under supervision.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a college/university degree program; minimum 1 year completed or equivalent
• Proactive, eager to learn and participate in construction management
• Able to read and comprehend written information; strong verbal and written communication in English
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills and professional accountability

Responsibilities

• Support project team with meeting coordination, material tracking, file management, document control, and progress reporting.
• Follow site signage and supervisor instructions.
• Provide progress reports to supervisor and learn construction management concepts.
• Relate academic knowledge to work activities on the project.
• Maintain professional relationships with employees, customers, clients, and subcontractors.
• Participate in training, meetings, and orientation.
• Comply with safety protocols and wear PPE as required.
• Assist with start-up activities, RFIs, submittals, and contract information as assigned.
• Assist with quantity take-offs and study project items with guidance.
• Attend project site visits and help with correspondence to architects, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.
