Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, invites motivated students to join our Construction Management Intern/Co-op for Summer 2027. You will gain hands-on experience across pre-construction, construction, and post-construction activities in the commercial HVAC/mechanical systems sector.

Work closely with experienced managers and engineers, participate in project coordination, and learn to manage documentation, safety programs, and site communications. Some travel to job sites may be required.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Construction Management and/or Mechanical engineering.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in pre-construction activities including review of drawings for scope and constructability.
  • Support subcontractor bid processes, RFP prep, and coordination.
  • Help track specifications and M&V requirements.
  • Assist with scheduling and subcontractor coordination during construction.
  • Compile safety documentation and participate in safety reviews.
  • Gather equipment submittals and support procurement of materials.
  • Prepare weekly field reports and meeting notes.
  • Assist in closeout materials such as O&M manuals and as‑built docs.
