Job summary

SCI Engineering, Inc. is seeking an Entry level Construction Material Testing Technician to perform testing and inspections of construction materials on sites and in the laboratory. The role emphasizes professionalism and customer service while ensuring quality and compliance.

Responsibilities include reporting testing results, communicating with site and office staff, and adhering to safety standards. The position requires daily travel to office and job sites in the Denver area and may involve

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• No experience required; at least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Must be able to travel to office and job sites daily.
• Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Outdoor work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform various tests and inspections on construction materials.
• Prepare written and electronic reports on testing results.
• Communicate verbally with site and office personnel.
• Provide supervision and training for less‑experienced staff as needed.
• Adhere to strict safety procedures and standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Present information effectively in one‑on‑one and small group settings to customers and employees.
