Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months experience preferred

Description:
  • In this role, you will perform field testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt
  • You will communicate with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, and contractor representatives regarding the construction site, project requirements, and testing, observation, and inspection requirements and results
  • Your responsibilities will include transporting material samples with associated identifying documentation to the laboratory for further testing and analysis
  • You will tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observations in the form of written and digital reports as work is performed for daily transmittal to the Project Manager
  • Additionally, you will maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas while adhering to strict safety standards
  • Under close supervision of higher-level technicians or staff professionals, you will assist on tasks and perform basic testing and observation duties
  • It is essential to provide clear documentation of findings and results, communicate information to the Project Manager, and discuss the accuracy of data in preparation for submittal
  • You will be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility in work assignments, maintain assigned equipment, follow safety rules and practices, and report any safety issues or concerns to management
  • You will also be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects, as well as daily report and timesheet entry
