Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Orlando seeks a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Staff Project Manager II to advance on a dynamic field services team. You will support project execution through budgeting, documentation, reporting, and client interaction, developing independence over time.

Required: BS in Civil Engineering or related field and at least 1 year of experience; a valid driver’s license is needed for site work.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Eng & Management, Materials Science Eng, Architectural Eng, or Geology.
• Professional license not required but beneficial for career progression.
• Valid driver’s license required for site work.

• Fundamental knowledge of CMT principles.
• Basic knowledge of ASTM standards and testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supports management of CMT projects, including daily reports and issue resolution.
• Manages budgets, prepares invoices, pay applications, and supports collections.
• Prepares proposals and change orders for CMT projects.
• Performs or supports laboratory testing, soil classification, and materials evaluation.
• Tests soils, foundations, reinforced and post-tensioned concrete, masonry, structural steel, fireproofing, and asphalt.
• Reviews field reports for accuracy and timeliness.
• Assists with training and coordination of field staff on projects.
• Performs lifecycle tasks from proposal to closeout.
• Communicates with project teams, contractors, and clients.
• Supports delivery of low-complexity projects with increasing independence.
• Performs other technical and project coordination tasks.

ECS Limited is offering a unique opportunity for a talented Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Staff Project Manager II to join our Orlando field services team and advance in a dynamic work environment. The Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Staff Project Manager II supports construction materials testing projects through technical analysis, reporting, and project coordination activities with increasing independence. This role contributes to project execution across the lifecycle, including budgeting, documentation, and client interaction. The CMT Staff Project Manager II continues to develop technical, consulting, and project management skills while maintaining a positive customer service attitude and demonstrating ECS Core Values.

Responsibilities

• Supports management of construction materials testing projects, including daily report review and assisting with issue resolution

Required Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience
• Bachelor of Science in any of the multi-disciplined Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, and Geology
• A professional license is not required in this position, but it is necessary to progress in your career
• If driving for or on behalf of any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required
