Job summary

S&ME is seeking a Construction Materials Services Manager to lead our Construction Materials and Special Inspection team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This full-time role focuses on strategic leadership, client satisfaction, and project execution across materials testing and inspections.

You will mentor professionals and staff, drive revenue growth, oversee billing and project profitability, and collaborate on business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
• 6+ years in operations and/or project management for construction materials testing and special inspection.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and lead teams: supervise and mentor Field and Laboratory Services Managers, Professionals, and Administrative staff.
• Drive department excellence: oversee revenue growth, staff chargeability, and project profitability metrics.
• Manage high-impact projects: prepare and oversee proposals and large-scale client projects.
• Ensure financial efficiency: handle monthly billing, accounts receivable, and project deliverables.
• Expand business opportunities: collaborate on business development and nurture client relationships.
