Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Wilmington, NC, is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Project Manager to lead field services projects and coordinate with senior engineers and field staff to meet deadlines.

You will build and sustain client relationships, apply ASTM laboratory standards, and ensure safety on heavy construction sites while advancing professional certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Geology (Construction Management or certain Technology degrees may not be considered).
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
• PE or PG license in the state of practice.
• Strong client relationship and communication skills.
• Solid knowledge of heavy construction safety, practices, and ASTM laboratory standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage a variety of CMT projects and coordinate with project teams from senior engineers to field staff to meet deadlines.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and ensure satisfaction.
• Apply ASTM laboratory standards and uphold safety on site while working with clients and peers.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in any of the following: Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Geology; Note: Construction Management degrees and certain Technology degrees may not be considered.
• A minimum of 2 full years of relevant experience.
• Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
• PE or PG license required in the state you work for license in title.
• Strong marketing skills with the ability to establish and maintain client relationships.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Sound understanding of heavy construction safety, practices, and procedures.
• Sound knowledge of CMT principles, applications, and ASTM laboratory standards.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, peers, and supervisors.
