Job summary

Froehling & Robertson, Inc. is seeking a Lab Technician to perform basic laboratory tests on soils, aggregates, and asphalt, and to report results with accuracy. The role requires diligent sample logging, data entry, and calibration of equipment in a field-oriented lab environment.

Ideal candidates have a HS Diploma, with preferred certifications (ACI Level I, DOT/ICC). No experience is required, but 1+ years in relevant work is a plus; travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• No experience required; 1+ years preferred
• ACI Level I Concrete or DOT/ICC certifications preferred
• High attention to details and ability to multitask

Responsibilities

• Perform basic lab tests on soils, aggregates, and asphalt
• Maintain a log of all samples
• Apply basic math to estimate quantities and volumes
• Enter test results into a web-based system
• Calibrate and maintain lab equipment
• Communicate findings with clients and engineers
• Other duties as assigned
