Job summary

ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC in Chantilly, VA is seeking a student intern to support geotechnical and construction materials testing projects.

You will assist with soil testing, laboratory work, project meetings, and the scheduling and oversight of Field Technicians while gaining practical industry insight.

Relocation is not provided; the role offers hands-on experience in a nationwide engineering practice recognized for leadership in the field.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related degree.
• Interest in how building materials are utilized in the construction process.
• Previous internship experience required.
• Ability to lift 40–70 lbs repeatedly or 85 lbs occasionally to waist height.
• Must have suitable transportation for job sites; mileage will be reimbursed.

• Position requires carrying 40-70 lbs multiple times a day or occasionally lifting 85 lbs to waist height
• Must be able to provide suitable transportation for use on job sites – mileage will be reimbursed

The expected pay range for this role and location is $20-$25/hour. The final agreed‑upon compensation will be determined based on specific location and other individual qualifications.
