Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking an experienced Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Associate Principal to join our Mobilefield services team in a dynamic work environment. The CMT Associate Principal serves as a senior technical leader responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and performance of construction materials testing projects.

This role provides technical oversight, final review, and mentorship across project teams while supporting business development and operational performance.

Qualifications

• 8 years of related experience with a professional engineering or geology license or 12 years with certifications
• High school diploma or GED; B.S. in Civil/Geology-related field preferred
• Maintain licenses/certifications per ECS policies
• Established technical expertise in CMT principles, applications, and ASTM standards
• Strong leadership, client relationships and multi-project oversight capabilities

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and oversight for geotechnical projects across the organization
• Perform final technical review of reports, calculations, and deliverables
• Ensure quality and timeliness of project deliverables
• Mentor Senior Project Managers and staff
• Support proposals, contracts, and business development
• Lead technical discussions with clients and project teams

ECS Limited is offering a unique opportunity for an experienced Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Associate Principal to join our Mobilefield services team in a dynamic work environment. The Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Associate Principal serves as a senior technical leader responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and performance of construction materials testing projects. This role provides technical oversight, final review, and mentorship across project teams while supporting business development and operational performance. The CMT Associate Principal operates as a subject matter expert and final reviewer, delegating project execution to Senior Project Managers while maintaining accountability for technical excellence and project outcomes. The role maintains a positive customer service attitude and demonstrates ECS Core Values.

• Provides technical expertise and oversight for geotechnical projects across the organization
• Performs final technical review of reports, calculations, and deliverables prior to approval
• Ensures quality, accuracy, and timeliness of project deliverables
• Oversees project performance and supports issue resolution at a strategic level
• Mentors and develops Senior Project Managers and staff
• Supports preparation and review of proposals and contracts
• Participates in and leads technical discussions with clients and project teams
• Supports departmental operations and financial performance
• Assists with staffing decisions and team development
• Contributes to business development and client relationship growth
• Provides cross-functional technical support, including adjacent service lines
• Performs other leadership and technical responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• 8 years of related experience with a professional engineering or geology license per ECS Senior Technical Staff Policies and Procedures
  • Or, 12 years of related experience with certifications per ECS Senior Technical Staff Policies and Procedures
• High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor of Science in any of the multi-disciplined Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, and Geology is preferred
• Per the ECS Senior Technical Staff Policies and Procedures, maintain license and/or certifications as necessary for the work performed or managed
• Established technical expertise in CMT principles, applications, and ASTM standards
• Strong regional market knowledge and client relationships
• Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities
• Experience in technical leadership and multi-project oversight
• Excellent communication and consulting skills
• Strong project management and business development acumen
• Ability to perform final technical review and validate deliverables
• Strong understanding of construction practices and materials performance
• Ability to mentor and develop staff at all levels
• Strong risk management and quality control capabilities
