Job summary

Certerra Southwest is seeking an experienced Construction Materials Department Manager in Bridge City, TX for a full-time role. You will oversee daily operations, manage a diverse team of PMs, technicians and support staff, and ensure high-quality project execution and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities include resource optimization, performance reviews, training, safety leadership, and involvement in business development, proposals, and client communications.

Responsibilities

• Finalize disciplinary actions with Regional Manager (RM) approval.
• Submit spot bonus requests with RM, VP, or President approval.
• Monitor and manage Senior Project Manager (Sr. PM) and Project Manager (PM) utilization.
• Review and approve expenses and timecards for direct reports.
• Manage high-profile projects with junior or assistant PM support (Mentorship Program).
• Optimize project resource allocation.
• Oversee Technician training, certifications and overall performance.
• Oversee dispatch operations for the region assigned to ensure overall quality and client satisfaction.
• Hiring manager for field staff for the assigned area with approval of RM.
• Monitor PCS assistance for the team to ensure all PMs needs are met.
• Address PCS performance issues with Director of Business.
• Manage and oversee the Team’s P/L
• Oversee Proposals and help to develop fees and scopes to adapt for competitive and changing markets.
• Oversee collection efforts for various projects.
• Pursue new clients, develop new opportunity and engage in business development: client meetings, proposals, and Salesforce (SF) management
• Develop and deliver client presentations
• Notify client regarding failing tests both by phone and email
• Responsible for including PE as needed for letters, problem solving, technical advisement, etcetera
• CSM
• Collections
• Ambassador of Safety
