Job summary

Geotech Engineering and Testing is seeking a Materials Project Manager to lead the Construction Materials Department on projects in Houston, Texas. You will supervise technicians, manage field and laboratory testing for soils, concrete, asphalt, and steel, and assist in marketing services.

Required are a bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering, the ability to work 55 hours weekly, and strong management and communication skills.

Duties:

• The Materials Project Manager will be responsible for the Construction Materials Department (Laboratory and Technicians) on his/her projects.
• Supervise and schedule a team of technicians providing services to both public and private clients.
• Focus on soils, concrete, asphalt, and steel testing.
• Help market clients and answer their questions.
• Proposal writing.
• Review field and laboratory test and data.
• Review invoices.
• Review and sign CME reports.
• Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and Civil Engineering. Candidate must possess strong management, technical and communication skills.

Requirements:

• Must have a bachelor’s or master’s in civil engineering.
• Must be able to work 55 hours.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience with A2LA is a plus.
