Job summary

Upchurch is a rapidly growing full-service building engineering company seeking a Material Handler to support field and warehouse operations in Alabama. You will receive, organize, and deliver HVAC materials, piping, and equipment to job sites, ensuring on-time delivery and accurate inventory.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a material handler or warehouse associate in construction preferred.
• Familiarity with HVAC, piping, and plumbing materials is a plus.
• Ability to operate forklifts and lifting equipment; certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, and stage materials for warehouse and job site needs.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
• Receive and verify deliveries; report discrepancies or damages.
• Organize and maintain warehouse inventory in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
• Prepare and deliver materials to project sites as requested by project managers and superintendents.
• Assist in tracking and maintaining inventory records in company systems.
• Follow safety policies and OSHA standards while handling materials and equipment.
• Support warehouse staff and field teams with additional duties as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
