Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is seeking a Foreman, Masonry to coordinate and supervise masonry activities on construction sites in Raleigh, NC. The role emphasizes safety, crew leadership, and efficient on-site operations.

You will inspect sites, manage material deliveries, read blueprints, and ensure adherence to project timelines and safety standards while coordinating with subcontractors and the job Superintendent.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years construction site experience.
• OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Knowledge of blueprints and site layouts.
• Ability to lead crews and communicate effectively.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to certify in first aid.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly job site inspections to ensure safety and quality.
• Complete job site checklists and scheduling deliveries of materials/equipment.
• Install required landscaping/irrigation/site development materials.

• The Foreman, Masonry ensures effective coordination and overall safety on the job site.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly job site inspections
• Complete job site checklist
• Installation of required materials for landscaping/irrigation/site development
• Responsible for scheduling delivery of materials and equipment
• Responsible for crews production rates, quality control and safety
• Assist in job scheduling and coordination of subcontractors
• Ensure that all employees are attending the weekly tailgate meeting
• Confirm that all employees are operating safely at all times including reviewing potential traffic hazards; perform hard hat checks and safety gear checks; underground alert reviews; other trades hazard review and perform general public safety checks
• Maintain a hazardous communication folder including all relevant forms for chemicals used on the job site
• Report reckless or dangerous activities to job Superintendent; notify Safety Office of any accidents and submit accident reports according to Company policy

Education And Experience

• Minimum8 years construction site experience
• OSHA 10 Minimum OSHA 30 Preferred
• Utilize Site Level for layouts and grade establishments
• Knowledge of blueprints
• Ability to lead others and manage crews
• Able to be certified in first aid
• Driver’s License
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong work ethic

Physical Demands/Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Be at least 18 years old (21 if operating company provided vehicles)
• Possess strong stamina and have the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
• Able to safely operate landscaping equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers, edgers).
• Able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, stand, walk continuously throughout the day and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
• Able to perform manual labor using a variety of hand tools (e.g. shovels, rakes)
• You are able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (e.g., safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, hand protection, eye protection, hearing protection, head protection)
• Landscapers who will be operating a BrightView fleet vehicle are required to have a valid driver’s license and meet company standards as it relates motor vehicle performance identified on a state issued motor vehicle record check.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if needed.
• Ability to maintain, in your possession at all times, required medications to address any known allergic reactions should they occur.

Work Environment

• Ability to work outdoors/indoors in moderate to extreme weather conditions (e.g., temperatures more than 100°F, temperatures below 32°F, various levels of humidity)
• Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
• Work outdoors near automotive traffic, bodies of water, fumes, dust, mechanical and/or electrical hazards.
• Ability to work in environments where extended periods of loud noise are present.
• Ability to work in environments where exposure to allergens such as pollen and rag weed, insects such as bees and spiders and reptiles such as lizards and snakes.
