Pape-Dawson Engineers in Plano, TX seeks a Construction Manager to oversee water and wastewater infrastructure projects from pre-construction through closeout. You will manage schedule, budget, safety, and quality while coordinating with contractors, clients, and internal teams to deliver successful outcomes.

The candidate should have a Civil Engineering or Construction Management background with 6 years of progressive construction management experience; CCM certification is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 6 years of progressive construction management experience.
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality to support on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Lead project administration activities such as RFIs, submittals, change management, pay applications, and closeout documentation.
  • Coordinate with contractors, clients, agencies, and internal disciplines to resolve issues and maintain project progress.
  • Support constructability reviews, value engineering, commissioning, startup, and owner training.
  • Maintain and review project documentation and reporting to track progress, compliance, and risks.
  • Promote job site safety and oversee environmental compliance requirements.
  • Directly supervise construction managers, inspectors, resident project representatives, field engineers, and field services personnel.
  • Lead and mentor project staff, supporting workload coordination.
  • Facilitate startup/commissioning activities, punch lists, and coordination with supporting teams.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for owners, contractors, agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Lead project meetings and facilitate resolution of construction, quality, schedule, and contractual issues.
