Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead end-to-end construction of new Retail Stores, from design through opening. You will drive problem-solving, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and apply best practices to deliver high-quality retail environments that support Meta's brand and sales objectives.

The role requires strong budgeting, scheduling, vendor negotiations, and risk management, with significant collaboration across internal partners and vendors.

Qualifications

• Experience leading construction of retail stores from design to turnover.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules and change orders.
• Strong communication with cross-functional partners and vendors.
• Willingness to travel to Meta Retail sites (50% onsite).

Responsibilities

• Manage the construction, commissioning, and turnover of a Retail Store
• Manage the budget associated with the project
• Manage the cost change process and negotiate best pricing
• Manage the schedule and associated risks to ensure reliable and predictable turnover dates
• Manage warranty and tenant improvement work in the live environment when/as necessary
• Communicate upward regarding the status and risks of the project
• Negotiate vendor and contractor contracts and purchase orders as needed
• Mitigate risk for the project through pre-planning, innovative planning, and partnership
• Develop cost savings solutions and identify project savings/underruns early
• Partner with the General Contractor and other Vendors to build collaborative relationships
• Partner with Internal Cross Functional Partners to build collaborative relationships
• Coordinate needs and asks with the Procurement/Sourcing group(s) to support the needs of the Project
• Support the pre-construction efforts for upcoming projects
• Promote prefabrication strategies
• Support the development of Capital Project Budgets and Construction Rough Order of Magnitude estimates
• Support the on-site inspection process to ensure a zero punch-list and an expeditious turnover to Facilities Operations
• 50% travel to Meta Retail sites
• Respond on an as-needed basis to emergencies

Our first-party Retail stores are rapidly scaling and building stores to a high standard is synonymous with enhancing the brand, delivering high-quality retail experiences and driving sales. You will be responsible for driving the end-to-end construction of new retail stores, from initial design to new store openings.You will use your problem-solving, technical acumen, and business insight to streamline new retail store construction. You will communicate transparently across all levels, motivate multidisciplinary teams, and champion best practices to deliver impactful outcomes that advance Meta's retail strategy.
