Job summary

PulteGroup’s Parrish/Manatee County division is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee daily trade partner activities, evaluate workmanship, and ensure on-time home construction in Riverview, FL.

You will review drawings, modify plans as needed, manage schedules and resources, enforce safety protocols, coordinate with Sales, and guarantee the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction throughout the build process.

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent experience with 2–4 years of relevant work.
  • Practical knowledge of construction processes in high-production environments.
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand building codes.
  • Experience with municipal permitting and regulations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage costs and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee scheduling and supervision of daily trade partner activities and evaluate workmanship quality.
  • Review drawings and modify plans when errors or conflicts arise.
  • Update project schedules and allocate resources to reflect project needs.
  • Ensure homes are completed on schedule and meet contract obligations and safety standards.
  • Manage customer experience and proactively communicate progress and address concerns.
  • Coordinate with Community Sales to monitor performance and customer activities.
  • Perform daily site inspections to ensure safety and compliance with SWPPP and regulations.
  • Negotiate, create, and authorize field purchase orders for materials and labor.
  • Inspect trade workmanship and authorize payments when standards are met.
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Process Improvement, and Purchasing to address plan quality and budget challenges.
  • Participate in trade partner recruiting and vetting.

Stop any work that is not satisfactory or noncompliant with plans, specifications, or applicable code.* Manage the customer experience throughout the entire construction process, including regular communications to keep them informed of progress, taking action, and negotiating solutions to address any concerns.* Interact with Community Sales personnel to manage community performance and customer activities.* Complete daily inspections to ensure job sites adhere to state, federal, and company safety and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan standards. Take immediate action, including adjusting the construction process or shutting down work if necessary, to achieve a safe working environment and comply with requirements.* Negotiate, create, and authorize field purchase orders for materials and labor resources as needed.* Inspect and determine whether trade partner workmanship and product quality are completed on time and within the defined scope of work. Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolding, and other means to reach and observe all areas of the building.
