Job summary

Smith Douglas Homes is seeking a Construction Manager to lead home-building projects from frame to finish in our Kentucky communities. You will supervise trade partners, monitor schedules, control costs and ensure quality standards to deliver outstanding customer experiences.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of residential construction management, a high school diploma (bachelor’s preferred), and proficiency with WIP systems and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field is a plus.
• Minimum of three years construction management experience, residential preferred.
• Proven ability to monitor and manage trade partner performance.
• Certification: TDEC level 1.

Responsibilities

• Use SMART to manage the construction of homes and plan frame start.
• Verify material quantities against Purchase Orders and conduct inspections.
• Manage trade partners per scope and schedule to meet quality standards.
• Control costs to meet budgets and negotiate re-work when needed.
• Conduct homeowner orientations and acceptance walks with customers.
• Coordinate with Sales to address customer concerns and attend community meetings.
• Prepare and obtain Building C.O. and ensure community cleanliness.
