Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager in Detroit to lead complex construction and renovation projects from planning through closeout. You will coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders while monitoring quality, cost, schedule, and code compliance.

The role requires 7+ years in project management, expertise in contracts, pay apps, payroll, change orders, and closeout, plus proficiency with construction documents, codes, budgeting, and MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 7+ years of construction project management experience.
• Knowledge of contracts, pay applications, certified payroll, change orders.
• Experience with budgeting, scheduling, Building Codes.
• Proficiency in MS Office/Project and construction tools.
• Strong communication and project coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction and renovation projects from planning through closeout.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits and monitor quality, cost, schedule, and code compliance.
• Manage budgets, schedules, pay applications, change orders, and project documentation.
• Lead project meetings, resolve issues, and provide leadership updates.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of construction project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, pay applications, certified payroll, change orders, and closeout.
• Proficient in construction documents, building codes, budgeting, scheduling, and Microsoft Office/Project.
• Experience with construction tools such as Bluebeam or Procore.
• Strong communication and project coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• K–12, higher education, or public-sector construction experience.
• Grant-funded construction/compliance experience.
• Experience with athletic fields, HVAC replacements, and interior renovations.
• LEED/sustainable design and permitting experience.
