Position Overview

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of high‑pressure natural gas compression and metering facility design, compression and metering facilities construction, regulatory requirements, along with strong leadership and communications skills. This position is accountable for project construction planning, assisting with preliminary design development and execution, including creation of project schedules, cost estimates, and scopes of work.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop scopes of work, detailed estimates, construction contracts and other duties to support project execution
  • Lead projects from front‑end development throughout construction; including identifying business objectives, defining scope, building cost estimates and schedules, developing and overseeing execution plans
  • Actively manage project risks by identifying risks and implementation of risk mitigation plans
  • Coordinate with internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets
  • Develop and manage construction inspection plans and staffing for facilities projects
  • Assist in the development and management of construction safety plans and verify contractor safety plans meet or exceed company and industry requirements
  • Monitor and control project progress, executing disciplined change management
  • Effectively communicate across all levels of the organization and align expectations about a project’s scope, objectives, expectations, and outcomes
  • Manage FAT testing of equipment skids at related fabrication vendor facilities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 15-25 years of progressive project experience
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience working as a Construction Manager
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing contractors
  • Experience executing both small (<$10 MM) and large‑scale ($10 MM to $500 MM) natural gas or natural gas liquids facilities projects
  • Management experience in the pipeline industry
  • Fluent in project management procedures and execution practices
  • Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA and Department of Transportation Minimum Federal Safety Standards, Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations Part 192
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and prioritize tasks
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements
  • Thorough understanding of welding practices and procedures including but not limited to API 1104 and ASME Section IX
  • Verify and document welding procedures and welder certifications prior to construction start
  • Thorough understanding of Non‑destructive Testing (NDE) Methods and procedures
  • Thorough understanding of compressor station construction and supporting facilities construction
  • Thorough understanding of measurement and interconnect station facilities construction
  • High level understanding of commercial contracts and related measurement practices and equipment to satisfy agreement obligations
  • Fluent in English, oral and written required
